Most of the time you can ignore this because Joomla will function anyway. But there are some modules and extensions that are a bit more particular. (Not to mention that some of us are just perfectionists and it bugs the heck out of us to see those red letters.

Most newbies don't know where to find the php.ini file or what to add to change to make these things go away. Here's some guidance on getting all the recommended settings in the "green". It's hard not to make a play on words or a pun when talking about 1 Flash Gallery, because it is what it says, and adds what it is, and really makes your site flashy. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.) The most popular gallery for WordPress is the NextGen gallery, which is excellent, this is something quite different.

If you've been looking for a way to put up eye-catching galleries, flash is the way to go. You need to know how to program with flash, or you need to know where to find tools that let you use flash without needing to write a program. 1 Flash Gallery will do that for your WordPress site.

There are many different languages available for a Drupal installation, but what if you want to have a site with more than one language. Drupal is up to the task, but it's not a trivial procedure.

There are two areas that need translation. The interface, which is all the button texts, drop down menus, messages and other language you use to interact with the site. Customizing the interface is fairly simple, and there are language files you can download that will help you make short work of it. Drupal developers often refer to this as localization. It's different than content translation, which is the actual content of the articles and pages and changes frequently.

A language string is composed of two parts: a specific language constant and its value. Up to now if you wanted to write your own labels and text messages you needed to actually go to your language folder and replace language strings or in some cases rewrite the entire file.

Now with Joomla 2.5.1 there is a built in language string search and change plugin that makes this a relatively simple task. It requires absolutely no knowledge of coding. It doesn't affect the core files, so deleting your changes and reverting back to the original is a piece of cake.

It would be nice if there were a magic translator module to allow you to instantly create a site in any language. If there was one as accurate as the computers envisioned on Star Trek, life would be simple.

But, When it comes to articles, there is only one way to get a true translation. You have to write it. Joomfish was the first extension to make this easy, and now FaLang has picked up where Joomfish left off and made it possible to use the same types of features on Joomla 2.5 as you enjoyed with Joomfish on 1.5.

You've seen Captcha used on many, many websites. Before you can submit a form, there is some type of a question and response mechanism that can only be answered by human intervention. This prevents automated methods of submitting comments, form submissions, email submissions and other types of online spam.

This is actually a quite common question. I've asked it several times myself, so I decided to record the answer and make it easy to find. I can't be the only person with a bad memory.

Here's why you ask it.You start building your drupal site, and start rearranging blocks, and you've eliminated your login block. How do you get to your admin page without a login block.
